Paper Submission

PAPER SUBMISSION NOW OPEN

Extended Submission Deadline: 20 April 2020.
We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic (Coronavirus) poses challenges for authors interested in submitting papers to GFP 2020. We would like to support authors on the path to publication and will offer researchers added flexibility to submit their papers. The new deadline for submission has been extended through April 20, 2020.

PAPER SUBMISSION FORMAT & INSTRUCTIONS

  • The two-page paper should be typed single space with one-inch margins on all four sides. Charts, illustrations and figures must fit within the two-page paper specification.
  • The 45-word abstract will be used for publication in the program. Over-length abstracts will not be accepted and will affect your ability to successfully submit your work.
  • The two-page summary will be published in the Conference Proceedings if accepted and presented. It must be submitted as a PDF file. Please see the link below for detailed submitting information.
  • Although IEEE does not require a specific format for their conference articles, IEEE eXpress Conference Publishing provides these optional MS Word and LaTeX templates free for use.

AUTHOR NOTIFICATIONS/COPYRIGHT AGREEMENT

Notifications are sent only to the corresponding author.

A copyright agreement form must be completed if your paper is accepted.

Please note that if your paper is accepted, you will be prompted to complete the IEEE Electronic Copyright Form (eCF) at a later date. Failure to complete the copyright form will result in your paper being withheld from IEEE Xplore.

Technical papers received outside the electronic submission site will not be accepted. Revisions will only be accepted up until the paper submission deadline.

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION

Authors are asked to provide vital pieces of information, including, but not limited to the paper title, presentation type, and a 45-word abstract, as well as all authors’ contact information. This information must be completed in its entirety; failure to do so may inhibit your ability to successfully complete your submission.

PAPER REJECTIONS

Adherence to the instructions for preparation of the abstract and summary is imperative. Any of the following conditions may result in rejection of the paper:

  1. Failure to submit the paper electronically by 6 April 2020.
  2. Failure to submit the 45-word abstract.
  3. Failure to complete a copyright agreement.
  4. Paper summary exceeds two-page limit.

SPEAKER INSTRUCTIONS

Please prepare your presentation in 16:9 format and bring it to the conference on a USB/flash drive. You will be able to upload your work to the laptop provided in the room in which you are presenting, on the day of your presentation. We ask that you upload your presentation before sessions begin in the morning or during the lunch break so as not to disrupt the timing of each session. All presentations will be wiped from the laptops at the end of each day.

*Please be advised, only submissions that are presented live at the conference by a registered attendee will be eligible for submission to Xplore. Any paper not presented on site will be considered a “no-show” and pulled from the final proceedings. The IEEE Photonics Society does not accept video submissions.”
